Another Culinary Institute graduate? First rate ingredients well handled. Expensive? That's relative. Similar in New York or Boston would cost twice as much.
Love this place so much
My go to dinner spot upstate. The things Joe can do with fried chicken are amazing, but her ability to build a perfect salad is just as impressive. Order the special, whatever it is that day.
We dined out on the patio recently on a Friday evening. The entire dining experience exceeded our expectations. From the reservation, to the greeting, to the service, drinks, appetizer, and our entrees. Menu offered a nice variety of selections. Portions were ample (took doggie bags home). We were stuffed so opted out of the desserts. Looking forward to our next visit.
The food is absolutely amazing!!! The service was outstanding!!! An overall great place!
Great dish...very nice place
Can't say enough about how great the food is! The burrito was from Cinco de Mayo.
I really enjoy coming to this delightful place for dinner. The food is excellent and the service is extremely good. They like to support local producers too, an added bonus for us. They have a nice bar and a selection of local and other wines and beers. And, I think the price is right. Enjoy!
Had a great dinner there after visiting local waterfalls.
Food is great, not great for kids, but good for adults. Menus change regularly, chef is awesome
Inviting warm, cozy, elegant simple decor. Servers very attentive and caring. Food is AMAZING! Will return!!
Hands down - the best food you can find when traveling the taconic north. In fact I would rate this place one of my all time favorites in NY! Every time I head upstate I will stop here. Grass fed beef, all organic, gluten free, the cleanest food you can eat!! You literally feel energized after you eat! Chef is on top of her game updating the menu all the time. We look forward to stopping there every time we get the chance. Wish we had one of these spots on Long Island!! Highly recommend you stop here. You will not be disappointed!!
Food mixology done right. The chef uses flavor combinations I wouldn't normally think of, but they work nicely. The portion were properly sized, we cleaned out plates and we left very satisfied. We will definitely return when we are in the area.
One of the best places to eat! Hands down...Amazing chef!
Excellent menu and creative food
Surprised at the food quality if im being honest this is located in a horrible, disgusting town but somehow is a very great restaurant. As someone who lived in philmont for 2 years i definitely recommend for a decent local meal.
My partner and I were very disappointed in the food and felt it lacked flavor and quality for the high prices plus 4% surcharge for the service. I found my meal of Lamb Ragu very greasy and lacking in any flavor and my tuna appetizer was also a big disappointment and seemed like canned tuna, not even the greens had any taste. My partners fried chicken was one piece of chicken for $26., which would have been fine if it were edible. It was extremely tough and he could barely eat any of it. In hindsight, he should have sent it back. In fact, all of the food should have gone back. It was a waste of the $160. dollar for two bill. We would not recommend this place and they should seriously consider a new chef and total menu overhaul. Save your money and cook your own fried chicken at home. Two big thumbs down.
The food is very good and the staff is attentive and friendly .
Great attentive service and delicious food!
Very pleasant dining here. We usually eat at the bar. Josephine is the most talented chef in the area. Although I can't say I've loved everything I've ever ordered, the food can be astonishingly good. Try one of her slightly quirky sounding specials. It might be just pretty good. Or it might be a meal you will long remember.
A wonderful farm to table restaurant with a very interesting menu. The food is lovingly prepared and the service is friendly, prompt and attentive.
Great chef and cuisine! very innovative and cute conversion of building. Great beer selections and dessert.
Food Sub par, service slow and waitress seemed confused over my questions regarding the menu. I will not return as there is much finer establishments in Hudson, NY.
Great private room. Wonderful food
Great wait staff. The chef has an interesting take on flavors that are at times unique and delicious . Consistency is always.
Fab brunch menu. Grits and eggs. You'd have to travel far n wide to find local food this well prepared in a cosy setting.
What a great find! Friendly staff and terrific food. Gluten free and Dairy free menu with a lot of options.
I stopped in for brunch and had cod cakes on a whole wheat biscuit with poached eggs and a dill aioli. Wow. This side was a spinach salad with lemon vinaigrette. It was an absolute knockout. Lovely bright flavors to accent the eggs and biscuit. The celery in the fish cake was a tasty crunchy surprise, not cooked into oblivion. I also had the cream cheese tart - another truly delicious dish! This little spot is a gem. Handsome but austere interior with the food as the true main event.
We used local111 to cater our Spring wedding. Josephine and her team were rock start amazing with every aspect from the food to the service and attention to detail. It was really fun to be able to work directly with Josephine and she was more than happy to collaborate with us to create a fun menu that was seasonal, had some of our favorite foods, and stayed within our budget. She was really creative and the food tastings were probably my favorite moments of planning our wedding. Her food is awesome and if you plan an event with her all your guests will be talking about it. Flavorful but subtle and clean, her flavors are really on point. She even researched a sauce that we had mentioned, and went above and beyond to re-create it for our chicken entrée. We are so happy we went with Local111 and if you are planning an event in the area, I can’t imagine you would be happier with anyone else.
Nice dinner experience
Stopped while passing through. Accommodated us on a Saturday without a reservation. Service was prompt, the food interesting and delicious. We'll be back on purpose next time.
Although I am a long-time fan of Local 111, I am continually amazed by how Josephine expands the boundaries of how food can nourish us. Every bite last night inspired us to slow down, close our eyes, and appreciate how our sense of taste can be fulfilled through presentation, aroma, flavor, texture, subtle surprises of richness, and the mysterious artistry that a gifted chef can bring to food. "Like food therapy," we said. We wanted to linger with every mouthful and let every taste unfold. The whole Local 111 team seemed interested in creating, without trying hard, an extraordinary eating experience for us. It is impossible to eat there without slowing down to enjoy - not only the food but all the local life that has been given to it.
A symphony of flavors on the sea bass. An excellently grilled steak. Nice friendly atmosphere. A bit pricey.
